All New Products from the Occasions Mini Catalogue Jan 4 - April 30, 2011

A Valentine card.  Love Impressions Specialty Designer Series Paper (121780).  Glimmer Paper Red (121790).

A Friendship card.  Button, button stamp set (122040).  I recommend the clear stamps because I find them better to use than the wooden stamps.  You can see exactly where you are stampin on the paper, as well they are more cost efficient and they save more space in your work area.

A Fun card.  Take a Spin stamp set (122015).  All of these card designs are c/o Carolin LaBel, Stampin Up! demonstrator.  I created all these at a Stampin Up! meeting.  You can be a part of that if you sign up to be a new demonstrator, contact me if you're interested.  It's super fun, you get to meet new people, and share ideas!

Stampin Up! cardstock and ink

The thing I love about Stampin Up! is that fact that their cardstock, stamp ink, pastels, watercolour pencils, and markers are available in the same colours.  So when I'm creating a project, the stamp ink perfectly matches up with the cardstock I'm using.  As well, Stampin Up! organizes the colours in colour groups, so it is easier for new artists to better coordinate their colours.  Hooray for Stampin Up!

Jolly Bingo Bits

Here you can see I used a few of the Jolly Bingo Bits and scattered them to create a design.  I also used one of the Tags Til Christmas stamps (dec. 25) cut out with the Decorative Label punch.  This done all on Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke paper.

Holiday Lineup

Stampin Up! stamp set also used was Occasional Quotes.

Stampin Up! stamp set also used was Fireside Christmas.

All the above cards feature one of my favourite stamp sets, Holiday Lineup.  All cards are slightly different which make them even more unique.  I used other Stampin Up stamp sets, which I mentioned above.  I used the die cut Bigz Top Note with the Sizzix Big Shot so I could have visible stamps on Warm Vanilla cardstock rather than on the Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry (retired).  I added flock to the centre images on the top two cards to create a focus for the cards.  If I had time I would have put black flock on the centre snowman's buttons and maybe a little colour to the snowmen's hats, but not too much colour.

Elements of Style

So you will notice I give names to my cards.  These names are actually the names of the stamp set I used from Stampin Up!  This is one of the first cards I made with all Stampin Up! products.  The cardstock are colours CERTAINLY CELERY, PRETTY IN PINK (from the subtles collection), and WARM VANILLA (from the neutrals collection).  I used stmpin' write markers to colour in the flower in the exact same two subtles colours.  You may notice that the Versamark ink was used to create a background image on the card, as well as a colour spritzer tool to create a spattered look.  Lastly, ribbon (in warm vanilla) was added to create more dimension to the card.

And so it begins...

Whether you have signed on from my Stampin Up! website or google blogger, here I am.  I am a Stampin Up! demonstrator and I am here to assist you on your way to becoming a creative being.

To start, I have taken photos of all the cards I have made and I wish to share them with all of you. I will post information on the products I used and if I left any thing out please feel free to contact me.
